Good News for you Jakarta residents. After delayed several times, finally Busway corridor VIII will operat this day. Busway corridor VIII promise will operate in September 2008, but government of DKI finally launch corridor VIII this day. That's interesting here is the change in the corridor VIII route. Originally Busway corridor VIII have route-Lebak Bulus-Jalan Ciputat Raya-TB Simatupang-Pasar Jumat-Pondok Indah-Iskandar Muda-Teuku Nyak Arif-Letjen Soepomo-Jalan Panjang-Daan Mogot-and ended in Harmoni.
New route for corridor VIII will be divided into 2 services.
First Route Lebak Bulus - Tomang, which will be served only at certain times, especially on busy time. There are 25 bus which will be operated at full until 22:00
The second route is Grogol - Harmony through Tomang. Will be served with some modifications to the bus service corridor 3. Corridor 3 route that are common to the Harmony from Grogol, through the Roxy. While modifications to the route 3 corridor, is from the Harmony Grogol, Tomang through the area.
Lets see in a few days whether the operation with the Busway corridor VIII will reduce the traffic jams or make more traffic jams.
